Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, or better known by her stage name, Katy Perry, is a singer and songwriter from California. When starting out her career, she originally sang Christian gospel music. After the record label ceased operations, Katy Perry decided to get into secular music, which ended up being a great choice for her. Her sophomore album, One of the Boys did very well and has some of her popular tracks like I Kissed a Girl and Hot n Cold. Katy Perry returns to the music scene with her fifth studio album, Smile.

The first track from the album is Never Really Over. The track opens up with your typical pop synth…

Brian Imanuel Suewarno, or more commonly known as Rich Brian, is an Indonesian singer/rapper and songwriter. He first came to fame with his single in 2016 titled Dat $tick. That was also when his name was still Rich Ch*gga. After slowly gaining traction, he released his debut album in 2018 titled Amen. I also reviewed his second album on my blog, The Sailor. Despite a bumpy 2020, Rich Brian has managed to release EP titled 1999.

The first track from the EP is Sometimes. The track starts out with a descending synth line, as well as some other electronic bell notes. It slowly builds on instrumentation, but it defini…

Matthew Tyler Musto, more known by his stage name blackbear, is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Florida. While being involved with music at a young age, he dropped out of high school to focus on making music. After dropping out, he was able to drop a series of mixtapes and work with high profile artists, like Ne-Yo and Woe, Is Me. Several years later, he has released his fifth studio album, everything means nothing.

The first track from the album is hot girl bummer. This track was definitely popularized by the app TikTok, but there's no denying that this track is a banger. The track opens up with exple…

Dave East is a rapper from Harlem, New York. Even though he started his career in 2010, he didn't get a lot of recognition until he was on the XXL Freshmen cover for 2016. Dave East mostly releases a series of mixtapes, usually one every year. Last year in 2019, Dave East finally dropped his debut album, Survival. I wasn't too psyched about the album so I didn't end up reviewing it. However, since I was a fan of his Karma mixtapes, I decided to give Karma 3 a proper review.

The first track from the album (mixtape) is Handsome. The track starts off with your usual trap drum kits and a bass line. When th…

Adam Aminé Daniel, or just known as Aminé, is a singer, rapper, and songwriter from Portland, Oregon. Ever since the popular track Caroline was released, he has been able to use that popularity to grow as an artist. While Aminé did drop a mixtape in 2018 titled OnePointFive, Limbo comes nearly three years after his debut studio album.

The first track from the album is Burden. While it does start with a short little skit about picking up a friend from jail, when the beat comes in, you know it's going to be amazing. It seems to have a vocal sample, as well as some slick guitar part. I can definitely see that Ami…

Ernest Greene Jr., or better known by his stage name, Washed Out, is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Georgia. While many people don't know about him, he is probably most well known for his track Feel It All Around which is the theme song for the television show Portlandia. Besides that, people have categorized his music in the chillwave category, even though he notes hip hop as an influence. Purple Noon marks Washed Out's fourth studio album.

The first track from the album is Too Late. It starts out with some high pitched, layered and reverbed vocals effects. After the quick fifteen-second introduc…

Glass Animals are an indie pop and psychedelic pop band from the United Kingdom. After hearing an advertisement from Spotify about Glass Animals for their debut album, I was hooked instantly. While each of their albums sounds completely different, they are able to keep their fans coming back for more. While I was a bit worried about some of the singles they put out for their latest album, they eventually grew on me and I enjoy them quite a bit. Dreamland marks the third studio album for Glass Animals.

The first track from the album is the title track, Dreamland. This was one track that I did not enjoy when it firs…

Dominic Fike is a singer/rapper and songwriter from Florida. While gaining a small following from being featured by BROCKHAMPTON, Dominic Fike finally comes out with his first, full-length debut album, What Could Possibly Go Wrong. While I was excited about this studio album, I was a bit let down by the end product.

The first track from the album is Come Here. It's a sub two-minute track, but it sets the tone of the album with heavy riffing guitars. I definitely was not expecting the album to start off this way, but I actually kind of enjoy this sound from him. The vocals aren't polished over at all, you j…

Advertisements. You see them when driving, you see them in stores, you even see it on the television. However, one form of advertising that is gaining traction is online advertisements. You might see posts on several forms of social media, or you might get a video advertisement on YouTube. With that being said, I decided to run a Twitter advertisement for 24 hours. This was a quick test since I am making an e-mail list in the near future. Here are some of the things I have learned from this 24-hour experiment.
Impressions vs Clicks If you have ever looked at your Google AdSense information, you have probably seen …

Lupe Fiasco is a rapper and producer based out of Chicago. Lupe Fiasco teams up with Kaelin Ellis for this EP, who is a producer that focuses on hip-hop and electronic beats. HOUSE marks Lupe Fiasco's latest project since his amazing 2018 album, DROGAS WAVE. This is also the first time the two have worked together. After someone commented on a Kaelin Ellis beat video, they suggested to give it to Lupe Fiasco. The two eventually found each other and created a quick, 5 track EP.

The first track from the EP is HOMME MADE. There isn't much going on instrumentally, just a few quiet notes that are played in the …
